Every newcomer to the concept of making money online can feel overwhelmed by all the actions that they need to take. Not to worry though, with these affiliate marketing tips you'll be receiving your first profits in not time at all!
Any success in business begins with making a plan and taking action - and that goes for affiliate marketing too. With so many distractions online and promises of making huge incomes with no work involved - it's easy to waste time that could be used in making some actual progress towards making your first affiliate marketing sale. Here I'm going to share with you what to focus on when you want to make your first $100.
Tip #1 Explore the Market.
Powerful affiliate marketing is dependent on selecting keywords that are relevant and in tune with what your product does. Products that sell particularly well online are created to solve a problem. Your job is to find the words that people would use to find a cure or a solution to their problem. For example words like 'stop', 'cure', 'prevent' are all terms that imply an urgent need to solve a problem. These are what you need to look for.
My first income was from solving a health problem. I spent a few hours drilling down to find keywords that were relevant to the problem that my product was solving. I looked for search terms under 3000 but over 500 per month, and even with all this activity in search engine optimisation - there are still plenty of opportunities out there for us to make the most of.
Tip #2 Give Them Something For Free.
Giving visitors a reason to come to your site and leave their email address is a great way to build a list of potential customers. You can do this by creating either a free report, or rewarding your visitors with a free ebook. It's essential that your gift is something of quality and value. To make it more appealing, you can even add a price tag to it, then put a cross through it.
To create a quality informational giveaway you'll need to research out some ideas. Think about what your target market want to know about. You can take a look in related forums to take a note of what questions they are asking each other - then all you need to do is create an ebook or report that provides the answers. Again, use your keyword tools to understand how many searches there are on those topics - this will give you an understanding of how many people need to know those answers and how popular your niche is.
Tip #3 Generate Traffic for Your Site.
There are plenty of ways that you can drive traffic to your site. This is the beauty of affiliate marketing, many of traffic driving methods are free and won't cost you a penny. Think about article marketing, forum marketing and social media sites.
If you work on this everyday, you will receive plenty of traffic through to your site. You will collect emails from the giveaway opt-in box and have more people to build a relationship with that could lead to a sale. If only 2% of your visitors buy from you - then that's already an income for you.
If you set realistic goals and take action every day, it won't take long for you to make an income. This will give you encouragement and the confidence to build your income - before you know it, you'll be an affiliate marketing expert and you will be enjoying the rewards!
